American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Buffalo is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Buffalo is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

All their donuts are delicious. Their peanut sticks are legendary! Paula’s donuts have been awesome since the day they opened. Best donuts in Buffalo hands down. Their prices keep going up but the quality has not gone down.

This is a serious jelly donut. Best not eaten in a car. Ask me how I know. Good selection of donuts here. Solid fastball down the middle.

Seriously some of THE best donuts you will EVER have. We live in Ohio, but make it a point to find the nearest Paula's when we are in NY. The young lady that helped us was very friendly. The donuts were fresh and delicious. The Apple Fritters are our absolute favorites. They are HUGE and filled with apples! So good! We will definitely be back on our next trip to NY.

Smaller Paula. Nice design inside. They have parking in front and back of the store. They have few tables, so you might not have a seat if visit ok busy day. Donuts options are similar to other locations. I bought 4, and 2 of them might be smaller size compared to other Paula store. Bathroom is locked and needs key from staff.
